Tondo is located near the park headquarters, within a sanctuary rich in wildlife. With stunning views of both sunrise and sunset over the Save River, it’s the perfect spot to relax on the dining deck and watch hippos, crocodiles, and migratory birds.
Tondo offers the following types of accommodation:
- Family tents with spacious bathrooms, verandahs, and queen-size beds (2 units);
- Large safari tents, each with two single beds (3 units);
- Small basic safari tents, each with two ¾ beds and a fan – these use shared ablution facilities (4 units);
- Campsite area nestled under the riverine forest, with access to communal hot-water showers and toilets.
Tondo’s shared kitchen and dining area overlook the Save River and are equipped with gas and wood stoves, basic shared cooking utensils, night lighting, and solar power.
